As of this writing, we still have not gotten any snow in New Hampshire. Well, at least in this part of New Hampshire. I’m sure that the White Mountains have seen snow by now. That being said, the snow cannot be far off.
The weather forecast includes the possibility of snow later in the week. When exactly, I have no idea. Every time I check, the forecast changes. Welcome to New England!
I am of a mixed mind on snow. On the one hand I love snow. I love winter. I love the fun outdoor activities that go along with snow. What would life be without skiing? On the other hand, I am simply not ready for winter just yet. I still have much to do to prepare my yard and house for winter.
I am surrounded by oak trees and, as a result, my entire yard is littered with leaves and acorns. And by the way, what’s with all the acorns this year? I have never seen so many acorns in my life! Anyway, my yard is a mess. I have been trying to get it cleaned up, but there is still much to do.
Then there are the things that must be done to winterize the house. Still need to get that done. While I’m thinking about it, I should also inspect my generator. Need to make sure that it is running in tip top shape. One good ice storm and we could be without power for weeks.
With all these things that need to be done, perhaps I should not be spending my time writing this post. I really need to get to work, and fast. Hopefully the snow can hold off for at least a few days. With my luck however, we’ll probably get a foot of snow today.
